Four Teenagers Take Turns In Raping 14-Year Old Girl In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four boys for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in the Mile 12 area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects, Wale Badejo, Jubril Yusuf, Olusanya Remi and Wale Oluwafemi, who are between the ages 18 and 19, allegedly abducted the victim on her way to school and took turns raping her.

According to the police, the suspects held the victim for over seven hours and threatened to kill her if she told anybody about what happened to her.


A member of the victim’s family, who craved anonymity, said the incident occurred on May 30, 2013.

She said, “She (the victim) told us that one of the suspects, who also lived in the area, had been making sexual advances to her for sometime but she always rebuffed him. The boy (Oluwafemi) and her friends then vowed to deal with her, calling her a proud person.

“She schools at Maryland and because of the distance of the school from home, she leaves home around 6:30am every day.

“On the day of the incident, the boys came on two motorcycles, grabbed her and took her to Oluwafemi’s house at Agiliti.

“The boys blindfolded her and stuffed her mouth with cloth. The boys then took pictures of the barbaric act and made a video recording which they said they would upload on Facebook. The boys further threatened to kill her if she told anybody about what had happened.”

PUNCH Metro learnt that when the victim returned home, she did not inform her parents about what had transpired for fear of being killed.

It was learnt that a resident, who had seen the rape pictures on the phone of one of the suspects, reported the incident to the victim’s parents.

It was learnt that the victim’s mother immediately reported the matter to the Ketu Police Division and the suspects were arrested on June 6.

Our correspondent, who visited the victim’s home on Dada Street, learnt that the suspects had been accused of similar offences in the past.

A resident, who craved anonymity said, “The boys have been accused of raping other girls in the area. They always get away with it and we hope they will be prosecuted this time.”

The case, however, took a sudden twist when the victim’s family said they did not want the case to be taken to court.

The victim’s mother, Iyabo, said, “The families of the suspects have been begging us since the incident occurred and we have decided to let the case go.

“I was pained when I learnt my daughter was raped, but since we are all neighbours and taking into consideration the ages of the boys, we believe it is best to forgive and forget.

“One of the suspects is even an orphan and his 75-year-old grandmother has pleaded with us. For the sake of peace, we do not want a case anymore.

“My daughter has been taken to hospital for treatment and so far, no illness has been found in her blood. She has also received counselling and she will soon resume school.”

A police situation report made available to our correspondent by the police ‘B’ operations department stated that, “On June 6,2013, the mother of the victim reported at Mile 12 Police Post that the suspects conspired and had carnal knowledge of her daughter, who is 14 years old.

“The mother said around 6.30am, when her daughter was on her way to school, the suspects grabbed her and forced her into their room at Dada Street and had sex with her one after the other. They also threatened to kill her daughter and throw her into the river if she told her parents.

“The victim said they blindfolded her and covered her mouth with cloth. The suspects have confessed and will be charged to court.”

When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, lamented the rise in cases of rape, adding that parents of victims usually frustrated efforts of the police.

She said, “We have said it many times in the past that parents of victims are of the habit of perverting the course of justice by refusing to cooperate with the police in prosecuting rape suspects.

“Except members of the public rise up against this, rape will continue.”

Fatai Rolling dollar dies at 87

Pa. Fatai Olayiwola Olagunju, popularly known as Fatai Rolling Dollar, is dead.

Reports reaching the Nigerian TON say he fell ill during his last tour in the US and returned home to be treated for a lung infection and fatigue in his legs.

The 87-year-old musician was born on July 22, 1926, to the family of late Chief Olagunju in Ede, Osun State.

He started his musical career in 1953 and trained many professional musicians, including Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, late Dr. Orlando Owoh, and Bob Aladeniyi.

All through his life, Fatai Rolling dollar made music, and is most famed for the hit song that revived his career a few years ago, ‘Won Kere Si Number Wa’.

Rolling Dollar was the oldest active Nigerian musician. He was one of the pioneers of Juju music genre in Nigeria.
The legend will be missed.

A Canadian model claims rapper Kanye West cheated on pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian after they met at one of his shows.

In stunning claims Leyla Ghobadi, 24, told America's Star magazine that their fling started in July 2012 and continued even after Kim had announced her pregnancy after Kanye dismissed his relationship with the reality star as just 'for publicity and nothing serious'.

Explaining her decision to reveal the relationship, brunette Leyla said: 'This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know.'

Kim's representatives have denied the reports, while Kanye's people have yet to respond.

Kanye is said to have first set his sights on curvy model Leyla when he saw her dancing in the crowd at his show in Atlantic City in July last year.

And despite Kim also being present at the gig in Revel’s Ovation Hall, Kanye reportedly instructed a member of his entourage to seek out Leyla and invite her backstage. 

The rapper is then reported to have invited Leyla for cocktails at AC’s HQ Nightclub, before asking her to come back to his hotel room.

However, Leyla declined, adding to the publication: 'I refused, as I felt it was too rushed.'

Kanye then reportedly asked Leyla and her friends, who had driven down from Montreal to watch his show, if they wanted to attend the concert the next evening, and gave them backstage passes.

And while Leyla admits she knew Kanye was with Kim at the time, she said the 36-year-old musician told her the relationship was 'for publicity and nothing serious'.

After agreeing to accompany Kanye back to his hotel room after chatting to him backstage, Leyla said: 'We began to make out for a while - and next thing I knew, we were both nakéd and having séx.'

The couple's next reported meeting came in October in New York, as Kim, who had not announced her pregnancy at that point, was in Miami.

Leyla even alleges that Kanye contacted her last weekend to see if she wanted to meet up, but said that at that point she was fully aware of Kim's pregnancy, adding: 'I would never do that to someone.'

Delta State University lecturer caught pánts down with femalé student [PHOTOS]

It was learn t that the lecturer had insisted on having sex with the student without which she will continue to fail the 200 level course.

According to information made available to TON, the student’s refusal to
accede to her lecturer’s amorous desire was the reason she has been failing the course since her second year.

However, last Friday, Mr Ifeanyi, who is working towards earning his Ph.D Degree from the same university, had gone to see the female student with the understanding that he will come along with her exam scripts and after sleeping with her, upgrade the scores immediately, not knowing that she had a hidden.

Sources said the female student had planned with her male friends and some neighbors to barge into her room whose door she left unlocked once she had gotten Mr Ifeanyi undressed.

Luckily for her, according to reports, her game plan was successful as the promiscuous lecturer removed his clothes almost immediately he entered her room. The lady then signaled her male friends who rushed into the room to bundle the lecturer out of the room.

Mr Ifeanyi was dragged out of the lady’s room without any piece of clothe on with the help of her neighbors and male friends.

Realizing his game was up and the damaging effect it would have on his career, the lecturer pleaded and asked for forgiveness but the now angry group insisted on taking their pound of flesh as he was molested and told to pose for photographs as evidence of his misdeeds.

According to some students of the Theater Arts department who spoke on the condition of anonymity and for fear of being victimized, they said the lecturer was in the habit of blackmailing his female students into sleeping with him just as they also accused him of constantly bragging of being untouchable because he purportedly belongs to a dreaded campus cult.

The students added that any male student who fails Ifeanyi’s course, is forced to part with five thousand (N5,000) or risks carrying over the same course.

Reacting to the allegation when contacted, Mr Ifeanyi said he had nothing to say as the school authority was handling the matter.

Woman Crushes Ex-Boyfriend To Death With Her Car

A woman has been charged with murder after police said she ran down her ex-boyfriend with her car and crushed him against a cinder-block garage wall.
Cherelle Baldwin of Connecticut was arraigned on a murder charge in state court in the death of 24-year-old Jeffrey Brown, the father of her toddler son. Baldwin, 21, was detained on $1 million bail. She was arrested Monday after a three-week investigation.

Baldwin's relatives defended her actions Tuesday, saying Brown choked her with a belt and she drove at him May 18 to try to save her life. Baldwin and Brown had a history of domestic violence and Baldwin, Baldwin's cousin said.

Brown's family denied that he tried to choke her.

"My son never threatened to kill her," said Jeffrey Hines, the victim's father. "She took my only son away from me."

Baldwin's car traveled 100 feet before striking Brown, apparently accelerating the entire time and with no signs of braking, police said. The impact pushed the wall back more than 10 inches, police spokesman William Kaempffer told the Connecticut Post.

"Murder was the appropriate charge," he told WFSB.

Brown was pinned between the car and wall when police and firefighters arrived. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, police said. Baldwin suffered a leg injury when the car hit Brown and the wall, police said.

Police Chief Joseph Gaudett Jr. said it took a few weeks for authorities to determine that criminal charges were warranted.

"Work by the crime scene unit and accident investigators was key to getting to the truth," Gaudett said in a statement.

SHAME!! 55 year-old head teacher defiles pupil

A 55-year-old head teacher, Akpolagha Agbugiye at Akaba, near Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has been arraigned by the police for allegedly inserting his fingers in the private part of an eightyear- old pupil.
The prosecuting officer, Inspector Roselyn Doctor, told Magistrates’ Court 1 sitting in Yenagoa, presided over by Patricia Edouyemiekumo that the accused had, on May 3, summoned his victim to the back of the school building and ordered her to ‘pick a pin’ which is a form of punishment used in some schools in the state.
She said: “The accused asked the classmate of the victim to call her for him. When the two girls met him at the back of the school building, he asked the other girl to leave.
“The headmaster then asked the pupil to pick pin which the girl obeyed. At this point he pulled the girl’s pant and inserted his fingers into her private part.”
Doctor said the victim limped home and reported the incident to her mother.
According to her, the pupil was later taken for medical examination at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Yenagoa.
The prosecutor said the doctor who conducted the examination confirmed that the girl had been defiled, prompting the arrest of the accused.
She told the court that Agbugiye’s action was a criminal offence, which was an unlawful and indecent assault punishable under Section 146(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Bayelsa State, 2006.
Agbugiye pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail with the sum of N100,000 and two sureties residing in the state capital.
The matter was adjourned till June 13 for further hearing.

Forget beer goggles, lack of sleep may make men overestimate a woman’s interest in sex, too, according to a new study presented at this week’s annual SLEEP conference.

Researchers studied 60 college students and found that well-rested men rated women’s sexual intent lower than the mens desires. After a night without sleep, however, the guys were more likely to assume that ladies wanted to hit the sack.

What gives? “Sleep deprivation seems to inhibit the brain’s frontal lobe,” says one of the study’s authors.

And researchers know that frontal lobe impairment—brought about by other things like brain damage or too much booze—can result in poor decision-making, she adds. For example, studies have shown people are more likely to have unprotected sex when they’re drunk, Pénner says.

But don’t let a beat brain get the best of you. Tell if she’s really interested by focusing on her eyes. If she’s fired up, her pupils will be dilated.

The caveat: “Arousal could mean she’s attracted or that she’s disgusted.” Context is everything. To be sure, move a little closer. If she’s interested, she won’t back away.

President Florentino Perez has smashed the world transfer record four times to bring in Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Asked if he would hesitate to pay £85m for Bale, Perez insisted he is ready to break the bank to land the Welshman.
